Sparkling Ice Announces Small Town Beautification Program
New Program Aims to Transform and Build New Park and Recreation Areas in Local Communities Across the Country
Introducing Cheers to You, Sparkling Ice’s first-ever series of town beautification projects. To spread some sparkle and cheer during difficult times, the Sparkling Ice brand has decided to team up with small towns across the country to give back in a big way.
At the start of 2020, the team sought out three unique towns, whose parks and recreational areas were in need of rebuilding, restoration or enhancements. After learning more about individual community needs, we partnered with each town to create a special beautification project. Construction plans will begin this summer and will be completed by the fall.
The 2020 Cheers to You Town Beautification projects include:
Hopkinsville, Kentucky
Restoration of the Christian County Youth Baseball League Field at Ruff Park
After a tornado swept through Hopkinsville earlier this year, the youth baseball fields at Ruff Park were destroyed and in need of a facelift. We’re excited to partner with the City to provide new coating for the park’s fields, so that the league can enjoy their season year after year.
Summerville, South Carolina
Reviving Summerville’s local park, Doty Park, with the installation of Pickleball Courts
Sparkling Ice is bringing pickleball to Doty Park! In recent years, the community has seen an uptick in pickleball enthusiasts and demand for places to play. With the growing interest for the sport, the new courts will be the first of their kind operated by the town of Summerville and will be offered at no charge to the general public.
Bedford, Texas
Building an outdoor musical play area near the historic Old Bedford School
Introducing the Sparking Ice Musical Pocket Playground! This playground will be built on the City of Bedford’s newest parkland, located on the same land as the City’s historic 1915 Old Bedford School. The school building itself represents Bedford’s dedication to the history and culture of their community and it is only fitting that this new playground will make a great addition to the environment. With this installment, the City hopes to delight the local community through the joy of music for years to come.
