Batter Up! Meet the UW Women’s Softball Team’s New Honorary Team Captain

Talking Rain is thrilled to partner with the Austen Everett Foundation as a 2019 Presenting Sponsor! For the past three years, Talking Rain Beverage Company has supported AEF and children’s hospitals nationwide to bring awareness to childhood cancer.

The Austen Everett Foundation is a Seattle-based non-profit that strengthens children using the support of involvement with both professional and collegiate athletic teams throughout their fight with cancer. The foundation partners directly with children’s hospitals across the nation, in addition to teams in MLB, MLS, NHL, WNBA, NCAA, and several other leagues. Through AEF, a child with cancer is recognized as an Honorary Team Captain with the ability to attend pre-game practice, visit the team’s locker room, walk on the field or court, watch warm-ups via the player’s bench, receiving a personalized jersey, and much more. With our investment, Talking Rain can empower thirty children across the nation through athletics.

This month, Talking Rain had the privilege of supporting one of May’s Honorary Team Captains, Liam, as he attended the UW Women’s softball game. The fun didn’t end there. Liam had a chance meet the team, joined them for the National Anthem, was featured on the jumbotron, and got a photo the real UW husky.
